Gracelyn Brown, who recently completed her junior year at Granite Bay High in California and is representing Golden State Throwers, took third in the women's 17-18 division hammer throw final with a lifetime-best 147-9 (45.03m) in the fifth round at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Brown helped Golden State Throwers sweep the top three spots and contributed to five athletes earning All-America honors.d
